Absolute Madness...

Okay, this is from a few months ago, but it still pisses me off. The current political party apparently feels the moral right to muzzle its own qualified scientific community by replacing widely respected individuals with "people who are professionally unqualified or who have clear conflicts of interest" in official posts and on scientific advisory committees. Isn't that the kind of activity our leadership would consider totalitarian or, gasp... communist if some other country's ruling regime did it?

Like the bumper stickers say... if you're not angry, you're not paying attention.
